ChangeABLE can be applied to ANY real change initiative in your organization.

ChangeABLE builds on research that “play” is the antidote for the barrage of long, formal meetings. Playing the game can help staff discover creative and strategic approaches to the intricacies of the change process and can be played over and over at all levels of your organization.

What’s it like to play ChangeABLE?

  • Goal-Oriented

    GOAL-ORIENTED

Up to 6 players (individually or grouped into teams) may work together toward the same organizational change, or each player/team may pursue a different goal.

  • MODERATOR-DRIVEN

A moderator role is designed to facilitate gameplay. The moderator is given a short video in advance along with an extensive Guide to help players navigate the board.

  • Roles & Responsibilities

Participants navigate their way through a series of questions designed to break down barriers and clarify the roles and responsibilities that lead to change.

  • Learning

Each step along the board presents an opportunity to learn by listening, reflecting, and responding. This enhances a player’s ability to reach their own change goal.

  • Fosters collaboration

The collaborative atmosphere of the game encourages discussion. Players gain insight and support from their colleagues as they journey across the terrain of change.

  • Resilience

Resilience, a key factor in successful change, is the currency of ChangeABLE. Players gain an understanding of five key principles of resilience as they navigate the game.

  • Takeaways

To track ideas and takeaways, each individual or team receives a Journal to create a post-game reminder of their change objectives and a reference for implementing their real-world change.

  • The Journey

The journey consists of interaction and response to cards. The journey is more important than winning the game. Because that is where the principles of change are communicated.
